ICEDOGS JUNIOR GOLD MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to build competitive teams at each level within the Junior Gold Program in order to earn a seat in the Minnesota State Junior Gold Play-offs and Finals. Players are expected to work hard, individually and collectively, to succeed towards this goal. Teamwork, Desire, and Excellence is what we strive for.

"Hockey is what you do, not who you are."
Enjoy your team, Enjoy the season, and Enjoy the game!

BYHA is the District 10 Host Association for Jr Gold 16, Jr Gold B, and Jr Gold A.  Player and Goalie Tryouts are open to 9th thru 12th grade participants whose "District 10" Association does not host a Junior Gold team of their own. All players will need to register with USA HOCKEY in order to register for tryouts and participate in the season if selected.

A congratulations and good luck goes out to the Icedogs A's and 16's as they made their way through the play-offs and on to the MN Hockey Jr Gold State Tournament.

For many of the Icedogs players this is their send off to the grown-up world as they finish up their senior year. And, for many this is their first trip to a State Tournament!

Senior Recognition

In lieu of Senior Night at one of the games we have opted for a Senior Night Recognition at the Year-End Banquet. This allows the Seniors to be recognized by and to recognize their parents and their peers.

The Senior Questions are:

1.) What meaning has hockey had in your life

2.) What is the best memory you have from your hockey career

3.) What plans do you have after graduation

  • Parents will need to purchase a 20" x 30" Foam Project Board
    • Walmart, Target, Michaels Crafts, etc.
  • Have fun preparing your photo journal of your Senior's hockey history
    • Bonus: The player's poster board can be reused at the grad party
  • Tables and Poster Stands will be provided and set-up prior to arrival
  • Show up a little early to set your player's board up on your team table

There aren’t too many unknowns when it comes to hockey here in Minnesota. When a new training technique or development opportunity pops up, news of it travels to every community in the state faster than a bullet train bound from Rochester to Roseau.

Yet, only a few have caught onto a development strategy that has helped high school age players in one community win seven state titles in just six years. READ MORE...
